Why are we using this sales methodology?

Most products made today go unsold and sit in distribution channels until they are disposed of – often burnt to hide the problem or buried in landfill. With buyers able to return items for up to 6 months, many products are deemed too old to be put back into sales channels. All in all the secondary market is greater than the primary sales market. This wasteful cycle can be changed by bringing secondary market stock back into the marketplace.

If producers are encouraged to take back their products:

a) Because they see value in this process (perhaps your data so they know who you are vs only the retailer knowing who you are)

b) Because there is value and money to be made from remarketing Product then it is likely to encourage brands to make products better in the first place, make them repairable and even track them so they maintain some ownership of their products.

Many brands, retailers and distribution channels claim to have lost money trying to recover secondary market products or re-market them. The process of checking stock, determining individual conditions and values is time consuming and subjective to each and every one of our complex minds. It is typically work carried out where items are sold and often that is where the global costs of doing business are highest (e.g. Wages) – This is in contrast to where products are manufactured which is usually where costs are lowest! The highly subjective verification process typically changes over time and hence valuations can vary radically.

Our system allows you – the buyer – to determine what the item is worth to you. If we agree we have a match and can then deploy our energy into actually checking the item match for you! The oft quoted adage that something is only worth what a buyer is willing to pay applies here! Why would we prepare all of the products for sale our way if you want to use them in a different way?!
